Full Program Itinerary Desert Tour from Rabt to Merzouga:

Day 1: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

With knowledgeable drivers and native Saharan guides, we arrange a tour out of Rabat. Following a delicious breakfast, a tour of Merzouga and Marrakech will start from Rabat. Later, we take a car to Meknes. We stop by Bab Mansour’s entrance gate. Then we go to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A local guide will accompany you as you explore the medina in Fez after that. Before going to Qaraouine Mosque and Bab Boujeloud, you stop by Attarine Medersas. We will be staying at a neighborhood hotel.

Day 2: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

We will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Merzouga Golden Sahara through Berber towns and villages such as Ifrane, Azrou, Midelt, and so on. Moreover, there is Errachidia, a charming city with a Saharan climate and a breathtaking view of palm trees and mountains. After that, we will visit the breathtaking Saharan desert dunes. Along the way, we will stop in the town of Erfoud, which is also referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara Desert” because of its proximity to the Erg Chebbi dunes and its profusion of stores selling fossils and Saharan clothing. We will stop at the highest dune on our camel ride through the Sahara Desert to observe the sunset. This is also a fantastic chance for you to take pictures of yourself with the priceless golden dunes in the background.

Day 3: Desert excursion in Merzouga

Your opportunity to explore Merzouga’s desert will be better today. A trip to Khamlia, a village well known for producing musicians from Mali and Sudan, is also planned. Later today, we will have lunch with a Berber family who lives in the desert before a knowledgeable guide takes us by camel through the Sahara. In Merzouga’s desert, we will watch the sunset. We will take in a Berber dinner and the drumming around the campfire once we get to Merzouga’s desert tent. In the desert of Merzouga, you will sleep in a tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Valley – Dades Gorges

We will have a sumptuous breakfast in the desert in his field to start the second day of our three-day journey from Errachidia to Marrakech, and then we will ride camels back to Merzouga. Then, we will embark on a daylong expedition through the Merzouga desert by driving behind the dunes in a 4WD vehicle. Similarly, before visiting a village of people with heavy black skin who were once slaves from Sudan, we will have the chance to meet and learn about a nomadic family close to the Algerian-Moroccan border. We will pick you up at Dades Valley after traveling via Berber villages such as Mellab, Tinjdad, and Todra Gorges, where we will see unique sights of nature. Finally, we will discover a panoramic area while the road takes us to Dades Valley.

Day 5: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Following brunch, we will travel to the Dades to visit their unique views. As we approach the bottom of the gorge, we will travel to Boumalne through its fascinating valley. On our way to Ouarzazate, African Hollywood, where we will stay, we will pass through the Roses Valley in Kelaat M’Gouna, the capital of roses. Additionally, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, old Ouarzazate, and the center of the film studios along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Then we will travel to Fint, an uninhabited, tranquil oasis in the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Finally, we will go to the Ounila Valley, home to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.
