Detailed itinerary of the 15-Day tour from Casablanca (the white city)
Day 1: Arrival at Casablanca – Mrehba in Morocco!
Our 15 Days tour from Casablanca to the Imperial Cities and desert commences in the morning with a pickup from your place of stay or the airport. Day 1 of our 15 Days tour, will be about seeing the Grand Casablanca city. Walk over to the corniche and see one that has the greatest minaret in all of Africa “The Hassan II Mosque” of Casablanca. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
We’ll drive from the largest city of Casablanca to Rabat, which stands by Hassan II Tower, the old Medina, and the Mausoleum Mohamed V. This city is to be an imperial Moroccan city with a UNESCO World Heritage Old Medina. Continue the road until you arrive in the region of the Rif Mountains which is the heart and location of the quiet blue and whitewashed city of Chefchaouen. Spend the day wandering the blue-washed narrow alleys of the friendly medina.
Visit the walled fortress of the Kasbah contains beautiful gardens. Near it is the small museum and art gallery which houses the rich culture of the Rif Mountains. From the rooftop of the os, the blue and white washed exploring the medina, walk in the nearby hillsides with the magnificent waterfalls. Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Commence the day in the morning to leave Chefchaouen to visit Meknes City. Bab El Mansour, Moulay Idris Zerhoun, and more are historical spots that Meknes is famous for, and which we’ll certainly see after lunch. Proceed the drive to the Roman ruins of “Walili” –Volubilis-, great ruins with stunning scenery that will grab your attention when you are about to explore them. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage making Morocco one of the fewest countries to preserve Culture and archeological heritage. To spend the night, we’ll proceed to Fes.
Day 4: Exploring Fes (an imperial city)
Enjoy a guided city tour to Explore dramatically the first imperial city of Morocco, Fes; this UNESCO World Heritage Site was founded in the 9th century and is home to the world’s oldest university. The first stop of the morning is a visit to the entrance of the largest royal palace in Morocco We will also visit the medieval Medina with its Medersas (religious Islamic universities) Attarine and Bou Anania, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, the Karaouine Mosque University.
Enjoy a Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in Medina. Afterward, continue to explore the medina and Its narrow alleys house hundreds of merchants and craftsmen selling a range of products such as dates, fish, spices, copper urns, and musical instruments. A night with breakfast at the Riad / Hotel.
DAY 5: FES – AZROU – MIDLET – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA
We will continue our 15-day Tour from Casablanca in the morning to leave Fes for a drive through three of the middle -Atlas- villages, the valley of Ziz, and Merzouga. A stop at the Switzerland -Ifran City-, another at Azrou, particularly at the cedar forests that are famous for the Barbary Apes to feed them, and for lunch at Midelt. Pass by the panoramic valley- Ziz- on the way to a place where we are going to stay the night -Merzouga Desert-.
DAY 6: Discover MERZOUGA
Commence the trip in the morning, but today we are not leaving Merzouga. We’ll rather visit the area along with the “Gnaoua” village -Khamlia-. Meet Gnaoua people who are known for their unique type of music where drums are an essential tool they are using. Experience climbing on the top of the camels to ride over Erg Chebbi camp at the high dunes watching the sunset and getting ready to spend a night in a camp.
DAY 7: MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY
When the sun is rising at the top of high dunes, it creates a magical scenery worth waking up to earlier to observe it. Take your breakfast and go with the camels to the hotel for a shower and then continue to Todra Gorges. They are spectacular limestone river canyons to discover and appreciate their beauty. Stay the night in the arrival at Valley of Dades.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
Wake up in the morning and prepare yourself to leave for Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Africa). We will drive after having breakfast via the route of 1000 Kasbahs. You can ask the driver to stop to visit the old Kasbahs in the palm groves.
On your way, you will enjoy the Rose Valley and the beautiful smells. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, you can start your visits to the studios where several international movies were shot such as Gladiator, and Game Of Thrones. Also, you can visit the southern town, to discover the old beautiful buildings with clay architecture. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Ouarzazate – Taliouine – Taroudante
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before you leave Ouarzazate by heading south. Driving through the stunning Atlas Mountains. Make sure to ask the driver to stop along the way and take pictures of the breathtaking scenery. Once you reach the town of Agdz, take a detour and explore the charming village and its surrounding palm groves. Afterward, continue your drive south to reach the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Take a stroll around the Kasbah and explore its ancient mud buildings and nearby movie sets. Then, we continue our drive south to reach the town of Taznakht, where you can visit the famous carpet-weaving cooperative to learn about the traditional Berber craft. Also, we will visit the attraction of Taliouine where the Saffron Museum is organized. After we visit the UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, we will arrive in Taroudante where we will spend the night in a guest house or a traditional hotel.
Day 10: Taroudante – Agadir – Essaouira
Depart from Taroudante and drive to Agadir (the capital of Sous). Agadir is worth visiting, you can visit the Kasbah of Agadir and take in the city’s stunning beaches. For Lunch, it’s better to try the seafood at one of the restaurants with an overlook of the beach. Explore the local markets. Take a boat ride along the coast of Agadir and enjoy the stunning views. Later, we continue our tour to Essaouira (the city of Mogador). Night and dinner at the hotel.
Day 11: Essaouira – Marrakech
Essaouira is worth experiencing to explore the stunning coast of Morocco. We will start the city-guided tour in the morning. You will explore the city’s old medina and its souks, where you can find a variety of unique crafts and artwork. Head to the beach and spend some time soaking up the sun and admiring the ocean. You can also rent a canoe or kayak and paddle around the harbor. For lunch, we will take you to a local restaurant to try the seafood dishes at one of the best moments in Morocco. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Essaouira Castle and walk around the old ramparts and fortifications. You can also take a camel ride along the beach and explore the nearby dunes. Before heading to Marrakech, we will take some time to explore the city’s vibrant nightlife. Don’t miss out on the well-known Gnawa music and traditional Moroccan dance.
Day 12: Marrakech (Visit The City with a local guide)
Start exploring the city after having your breakfast with a guided city walk. At Marrakesh, you’ll see the Gardens -Majorelle-, the Palace of Bahia, and the Mosque -Al Koutoubia-. Moreover, spend the afternoon at a busy and large square of -Jemaa El Fna-, where you’ll be about to watch the snake charmers, and storytellers, along with several food merchants and amusing activities.
Day 13: Marrakech
Marrakech is an international tourism destination and one day may not be enough to explore this charming city. So, that day in our program will also be dedicated to Marrakech. It’s a free day you can have a walk without a guide, choose a day trip to Ourika Valley or the impressive Ouzoud Waterfalls, or you can have a cooking class and learn about Moroccan delicious cuisine. Overnight in your Riad or Hotel.
Day 14: Marrakech – Casablanca
Take your time in the morning before you head back to Casablanca. The driving time will take 2 to 3 hours depending on the stops we may have on the way. Our 15-day grand Morocco tour from Casablanca to the imperial cities and the desert comes to an end by arriving in Casablanca. You can have a walking tour around the medina or relax on the beach. Overnight in your hotel.
Day 15: Casablanca – Airport
We will say goodbye to you by dropping you off at the airport for departure depending on your flight time. Our 15-day in Morocco through the grand tour from Casablanca ends and we hope to see you soon.
