Itinerary: 7 Days Desert Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes:

After we met you at the airport, we start our New Year private Morocco tour and explore Casablanca’s best cultural places. Our Casablanca tour will include a visit to the Hassan ll Mosque and after lunch, we drive to Meknes, the former imperial city. Our private 7 days New Year desert Morocco tour continues by visiting the Romain ruins of Volubilis. Then we continue to Fes where we spend a night in a local riad/hotel with dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Exploring Fes – guided tour of the city:

Our private New Year desert Morocco tour continues today with a guided tour in Fe and we discover Fez by walking in the medina. Fes is the oldest imperial city founded by Idriss II. Fes is also the traditional center of Arab-Muslim culture. You can explore the Mosque of the Andalusians, also famous tanneries, the Medersas, and we will visit also the new part of the city. We stay overnight in a hotel /riad with dinner and breakfast.

Day 3 : Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga:

Today after breakfast we drive towards Ifrane, called “the Switzerland of Morocco”. We continue to Midelt and then we pass along the Ziz Valley to reach the city of Erfoud, very famous for its local fossil products. We continue our private desert Morocco tour to Rissani to explore its souk. After that, our journey finishes in Merzouga where we stay in a desert hotel with dinner and breakfast.

Day 4: Explore Merzouga:

After breakfast, we will explore the desert area f Merzouga visiting the village of Khamia, famous for its musicians. We will have lunch with Nomad people living in the desert. We will prepare ourselves for a camel ride across the dunes. Once we reach the desert camp, we explore the desert area, have dinner at the campfire, and enjoy a traditional Berber dinner. We spend this night in desert tents.

Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

Today early in the morning, our camel guide will wake you up to watch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert. After that, we ride camels back to the village. After showering and breakfast in the riad, we’ll head to Rissani, Tinghir, and reach Todra Gorges which is the highest, narrowest gorge in Morocco. Here we may hike within the valley, and after lunch, in the gorge, we will continue to the Dades Valley, where we’ll enjoy sand castles and also the rock formations called “monkey toes”. We stay in Dades Gorges in a local hotel with dinner and breakfast.

Day 6 : Dades Gorges – Ouarzazatte – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech:

Desert Sahara Tour continues and after breakfast, we drive towards Ouarzazate passing the way of the thousand Kasbahs. We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, which is the center of roses valley where we may visit the local cooperative for the roses. Then we continue our private Morocco tour via the Ait Ben Haddou, a local kasbah has been built by Et Hami El Glaoui in the 19th century. We cross Tizi n’Tichka mountain Pass at 2260m over the High Atlas mountains. Then we continue to Marrakech where our tour finishes.

Day 7: Marrakech city tour – Casablanca:

Today we will have a guided tour of Marrakech. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city including the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, souks, palaces, and museums. We explore also a new part of the city called Gueliz, the gardens of Menara and Marjorelle. Then we drive you to Casablanca where our 7 Days Desert Tour finishes.
