Whether you arrive by boat or by plane, we will wait for you. You have arrived at TANGIER, the gate of Morocco. We will take a tour of the medina, and after a rest and tea with mint, we will go to the city of CEFCHAOUEN. There are few places in the world as charismatic and seductive as the city of CHEFCHAUEN. The city is sheltered from the real world by the imposing walls of the Rif. Its houses and streets are painted blue. The calm and cheerful spirit is present throughout the city and in each of its magical corners. We will stay all day and night in CHAUEN. Strolling through this city at any time of the day or night is a great visual adventure.
Day 2: explore Fez
We will leave early in the morning in the direction of FEZ. Following the route, we will stop at VOLUBILIS. It is the most important archaeological site in the country. Nowadays, VOLUBILIS allows as few places in the world to imagine in detail the life of the Romans. After lunch, we will continue to FEZ. Accommodation in the hotel of your choice. In the afternoon, we will visit the FEZ medina. FEZ, a city full of mystery and magnificence, is the most complete medieval medina in the Arab world, treasures world-famous monuments, thousands of winding streets, and hundreds of palaces and mansions. UNESCO declared FEZ, World Heritage Site. We will visit, among other places, the Attarine Madrasa, the Karaouine Mosque, the tanners, the Marinid tombs, and the souks. We will spend all afternoon in FEZ and also the night. You’ll see it’s worth it.
Day 3: Fez – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech
Today we will make an excursion, we will spend all day in the waterfalls d’OUZOUD. The waterfalls of OUZOUD are an incomparable place, full of water, vegetation, birds, and fresh air. The most impressive is the waterfall which has a height of 100 meters, at the end of which there is a great backwater where you can bathe. They are the largest waterfalls in Morocco. We’ll have lunch by the waterfalls, and we’ll have tea with mint. At dusk, we will arrive in MARRAKECH. Here we spend the night in a riad inside the medina.
Day 4: explore Marrakech
It is in MARRAKECH that Africans and Arabs have crossed with greater fortune. MARRAKECH is manorial, bustling and with a couple of places to retreat, perhaps has the best hotels in Africa. You can find historical vestiges and stroll through the best souks in the country. The most identifiable monument of MARRAKECH is the Koutoubia minaret, a beautiful tower that, because of its proportions and decoration, is one of the most perfect that can be seen in the Arab world. The mosque is one of the largest in the western Muslim. The step is forbidden to non-Muslims. The tower was erected in the times of Yacoub Al Mansour (between 1184 and 1199).
It measures 70 meters and the highest part is finished by three balls, greater than two meters in diameter. The ones we contemplate today are of bronze, but it is believed that at the time of their construction were of gold. You will be able to visit Ibn Youssef Madrasa (a Qur’anic school founded in the middle of the 14th century), Ibn Yousef Mosque, El Badi Palace, Saadis Tombs, Bahia Palace, Tanners’ Quarter, and Majorelle Garden.
At lunch, you can savor a typical Moroccan meal. In the afternoon, I advise you to walk around the medina and admire and buy in the souks. They will undoubtedly spend a lot of time in the famous Jemaa el Fna square, an enormous area full of activity, spectacles, snake charmers, ointment sellers, and henna tattoo artists … You must discover it yourself …. In the evening, enjoy dinner and nightlife in MARRAKECH.
Day 5: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah
After breakfast, we will go to CASABLANCA. At noon we will arrive at CASABLANCA, and we will take a tour visiting the most emblematic places of the city. The mosque of Hassan II is undoubtedly the most important point of the city. The mosque has the highest minaret in the world (more than 200 meters) and is the third largest on the planet. In Morocco, it is the only mosque that non-Muslims can visit. Its symmetrical adornments combine the tradition and modernity of Moroccan art. It is a really spectacular building. We will walk along the Boulevard de la Corniche, the Park of Nations, the Place de Mohamed V …. This is where we will take lunch. After lunch, departure to RABAT, the capital of Morocco. In the afternoon, we will take a panoramic tour of the exteriors of the Royal Palace and its gardens, the Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. At night, rest at your hotel.
Day 6: Discover Asilah / Clay
We will go to ASILAH. And this is where we will also sleep. Its magnificent beaches, on the Atlantic coast, are almost as attractive as its little white and luminous medina. Undoubtedly, the most interesting thing about ASILAH is its medina, with its white-walled houses, full of flowers. The light of the day takes on a special role in the alleys of the old town. You can admire the Great Mosque, climb to the Portuguese walls of the S XV …… At the gazebo, which lies at the southwestern tip of the medina, you will have fantastic views of the Atlantic and the pastel-green dome of the Kuba of Sidi Ahmed Mansour, next to the muted Cemetary of colorful tombs. You will enjoy a sunset on the Atlantic.
Day 7: Asilah – Tangier
After breakfast, return to the city of TANGIER. If you still have time before catching the plane or the boat, we will take a tour around TANGIER. Like all cities in Morocco, it is divided into the old quarter (medina), and the Ville Nouvelle. The walled medina of TANGIER contains all the elements of the old quarter of the Moroccan cities but with a certain cosmopolitan touch. Walking is a fascinating experience. In the highest area is the old Kasbah. You will be able to stroll through the great souk and the square of April 9, 1947, and the park of the Mendubia in whose garden you will find centenarian Dragos and a collection of SXVII cannons that were of the Spanish and Portuguese fleets. 7 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
