Itinerary: 5 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga
1 Day: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Pick up at your Riad or meet you at the airport and go southward to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach Ifrane, called ” Little Switzerland Moroccan ” for its resemblance to the country. One of the animals that once lived here was the lion of the Atlas, which has now become the symbol of the city and has been dedicated to a stone statue in the middle of it. Lunch at MIDELT or Rich; from here the land becomes barren and filled with spectacular geological formations and deep green valleys, like the Ziz Valley. We begin to see the typical adobe architecture, palm trees, and some distant Kasbahs … we are at the gates of the desert. After an hour after we arrived at Erfoud’s impressive dunes of Merzouga and after tea Hospitality, leave our bags in the room and climb to the first dunes that are outside the hotel and take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Day 2: Discovering Merzouga
We’re in the desert and today will be a day of Total Desert. Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani Market – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
On the third day of our Morocco Desert Tour, it is recommended to wake up to walk to the highest dune that is around the camp to enjoy the sunrise and the relaxing scenery that nature offers us, we will return on camels to the village of Merzouga. 1 hour later reach one of the strongest points of the High Atlas: The Todra Gorges. Day 5 : Ouarzazate – Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
The morning is dedicated to the visit of Ouarzazate: Kasbah of Taourirt, Film studios. After the departure Fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou.
