Itinerary: 7 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes via Chefchaouen

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

Our multilingual drivers will be waiting for you at the airport or take you from your Riad. You will head from Marrakech to enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate and the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. We’ll afterward, pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna and Boumalene du Dades by the Valley, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Merzouga via Todra Gorge

leaving Boumalene Dades after breakfast, we will head to Merzouga passing through the Berber village of Tinghir and the Todra Gorge where the canyons dominate the skyline. We will then pass through several towns along the route, stopping for lunch at either Tinjdad or Rissani in the Tafilalet region, famous for serving Berber pizza. After lunch, we will make our way to Merzouga to start our camel trek. You will have a short rest with tea, then your luggage will be left in safe rooms at the hotel.

The 90-minute of camel trekking will take you to a Nomadic camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of a chain of tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, a kitchen, and a toilet. During the evening, you will have dinner and entertainment performed by Local staff around the campfire.

Day 3: Exploring the Desert of Merzouga

A full day in the Sahara Desert is scheduled to explore the Desert features,! First You’ll move to the neighboring Berber village of the Sahara, called Khamlia, to listen and watch the Gnaoua music performed by local bands. Continue through to see the nomads of the desert under their tents. Then we will drive offroad to experience the wonderful Sahara sceneries. In the evening you’ll be back to your hotel, and from there you will ride on your camel deep into the dunes of Erg Chebbi & spend the night in Berber tents.

Day 4: The Merzouga desert – Fes

You’ll wake up early to attend the sunrise spectacle, then ride back the camels After having breakfast, we leave Erg Chebbi to the north passing by the Ziz Valley and the Mid Atlas Mountains up to Fez. On our way, we will stop frequently to appreciate the Rocky Mountains and plain areas. We will pause in Azrou to see the North African Monkeys in the wild inside a Cedar Forest. We arrive in Fez and check in at your Riad.

Day 5: Explore fes  – Volubilis – Mekns – Fes

After your breakfast in the riad, our journey will start towards Volubilis, then drive forth via villages Volubilis embodies the Roman ruins and presents a unique archaeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit to the ruins, we will shift our way to Meknes city, an imperial city in the 17th century, where we will hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, bab el Mansour. Then we continue to Fes where we will spend the night.

Day 6 : Fes – Chefchaouen (Blue city)

We will drive to the north of Morocco through the Rif Mountains, arriving at Chefchaouen. A typical blue town by the mountains. The evening will be dedicated to exploring the simple but beautiful city of Chefchaouen where everything is set dramatically against the mountains. Among many are the blue-tinted houses and cobbled streets with a mountainous backdrop that create a photographic setting. Spend the night in a riad. Also, you can get back to Fes on the same day.

Day 7: Chefchaoune – Fes

Drive back to Fes. End of the tour experience in Fes. We hope to see you once again in Morocco. Drop off at the airport. End of our service and the end of the 7 Days holiday in Morocco.
